We created a VR app to transport consumers to the streets of Tokyo and experience life with adidas NMD.
Communicate the experience of the product
Adidas NMD are almost iconic shoes in the adidas brand portfolio. Their design is inspired by high fashion and they use the adidas Boost technology to give consumers incredible comfort. Our challenge was to promote how wearable the trainers are and to increase sales in the most popular store chain “Sizeer”.
Our idea was to enable customers to try out the new NMD on Tokyo streets in Virtual Reality (VR). We shot hours of content in Tokyo to create a cool dedicated VR app that we synchronized with movement on a treadmill. In a few seconds our installation could transfer you, wearing the new NMD sneakers, to Tokyo.
Experience leading to sales
Thanks to our NMD VR Tokyo Tour instore installations, the NMD sneakers have become the most often tried on sneakers at Sizeer stores and, more importantly, sales have increased by 47% in the stores which offered the NMD VR Tokyo Tour.
